Welcome to the hub for all things Flesh and Blood: Uprising at A Muse N Games!

Hi everyone!  Unity here.  The prerelease for the newest set is happening two weeks from now, and since I haven’t played a real game of Flesh and Blood… ever, actually, I’m looking forward to highlighting the game and this newest release in a way that appeals to new and experienced players alike!  Stay tuned for that.

For now, let’s take a look at the prerelease event that we are excited to be hosting on Saturday, June 18th at 1:00pm.  Click HERE to head to our event page where you can find more information and book your seat!

I started at A Muse N Games in February of this year, and Flesh and Blood was one of the first things to catch my eye.  In my previous foray into the world of TCG’s, Magic: The Gathering and Pokemon were really the only powerhouses, and despite the cult followings of other games, it didn’t seem likely that that would change.

Cue my surprise when I saw that FAB had carved a spot out for itself on the wall.  I was immediately interested, and after watching the official learn to play video, Brian was all too happy to sit down and go through the mechanics in person with me.

The game is simpler than some, but the elegance of the design means that it doesn’t get bogged down by the weight of its own mechanics; not an easy task these days.  Hero vs. Hero, a good, old-fashioned duel that finds players using equipment and skill/magic cards to reduce their opponent’s life to zero.  Unlike Pokemon or Magic, though, these Heroes don’t whip small creatures at their foes like a Trainer, or summon Phyrexian overlords like a Planeswalker – they kick and punch and take spells to the face, and at the end of the day it isn’t a bird or bug or bear that claims victory but the Heroes themselves.

Which is a nice touch.  If you’d like to learn more about the basics of how to play the game, click HERE to watch the 6 minute intro direct from FAB’s website.
